FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Entity Details & Profile

Q1: What are the legal details and corporate profile of Tiger Gateway International?

A: Our official entity details are:

  • Legal Name: Tiger Gateway International Ltda.

  • Jurisdiction: Brasília / Federal District, Brazil.

  • Tax ID (CNPJ): 68.386.983/0001-80

  • Address: Setor Comercial Norte, Quadra 04, Bloco B sala 702

  • Website: www.tigergateway.com.br

  • Profile: Neutral Logistics Governance, Mediation & Matchmaking Desk

Q2: What is the exact scope of Tiger Gateway International?

A: We operate strictly as an independent governance desk that connects international forwarders with vetted local NVOCCs and agents. TIGER GATEWAY INTERNATIONAL does not act as an ocean carrier or NVOCC, does not issue House BLs, and avoids direct contracting with port terminals or shipping lines, ensuring 100% neutrality and absolute zero commercial conflict of interest.

Q3: Does Tiger Gateway charge any membership, subscription, or registration fees?

A: No. We do NOT charge any membership, registration, or subscription fees. Cooperation is non-exclusive, zero-friction, and conducted strictly on a shipment-by-shipment basis.

Client Security & Onboarding Rules

Q4: How does Tiger Gateway protect my end-client portfolio against circumvention?

A: Through our Blind RFQ Protocol. You are never required to disclose your end-customer’s identity during quoting or negotiations. Furthermore, the operational identities of the buying and executing agents are strictly protected and only revealed at the moment of booking confirmation—after the buying agent deposits the required freight funds into Tiger’s escrow account. To ensure complete commercial peace of mind, every transaction is strictly governed by binding Non-Circunvention and Anti-Bypassing terms, prohibiting any direct contact or off-desk dealing between matched entities.

Q5: Is formal contract signing required before starting a trial shipment?

A: Not for spot operations. For PATH 1 (Prepaid) and PATH 2 (Collect), formal contract signing is organically postponed until the 3rd completed shipment, due to minimal risk and to ensure commercial agility, thanks to our protected release triggers, which guarantee Tiger's control over deposited funds and shield both parties throughout the transaction. Formal agreements and credit checks are strictly required upfront only when deferred credit terms are requested under PATH 3.

Settlement & Payment Custody (3-PATHS)

Q6: How does the 3-PATHS Settlement Framework safeguard freight funds?

A: All freight and local charge funds are managed under a neutral governance framework in regulated banking channels, released strictly upon verified operational triggers:

  • PATH 1 (Spot Prepaid): Funds pre-funded by the origin agent are held under Tiger's custody and released to the executing partner upon proof of ATD (Actual Time of Departure).

  • PATH 2 (Spot Collect): Funds pre-funded in advance by the paying agent at destination are held under Tiger's custody and released to the executing partner upon proof of ATA (Actual Time of Arrival).

  • PATH 3 (Deferred Credit): Postponed credit settlement released on an agreed future due date, subject to prior credit approval.

Vetting, Liabilities & Operational Rules

Q7: How does Tiger Gateway vet and audit performing execution partners?

A: Through our Fast-Track Vetting Protocol, which combines:

  1. Public Compliance: Instant screening against US OFAC, UN Sanctions, and Brazilian public integrity registries (CEIS, CNEP, TCU).

  2. Trust Proxy: Verification of active memberships in global networks (e.g., WCA Gold, JCtrans GCP, FIATA), specifically those required by the buying agent, if applicable.

Furthermore, our structured release triggers ensure virtually zero risk of payment default for performing partners—with the sole exception of PATH 3 (Deferred Credit agreement). Should PATH 3 be selected, credit assessment full onboarding will be required, but shall be operated entirely at the risk and account of the freight-buying agent, who retains the ultimate right to confirm or withdraw the credit facility following the match.

Q8: Who holds the transport liability, and how are SLAs enforced?

A: Transport liability remains directly with the performing carrier/NVOCC under the Bill of Lading (BL) terms. Tiger Gateway acts as the enforcing governance desk, guaranteeing strict adherence to agreed rates and SLAs (Service Level Agreements)—the binding operational standards governing response windows, milestone tracking, documentation accuracy, and dispute resolution timeframes. In the event of operational disagreements, our neutral internal mediation framework reduces the danger of costly court litigation to levels drastically lower than the industry average, protecting both capital and long-term commercial relationships.

Q9: How are demurrage and operational disputes handled?

A: Tiger Gateway operates a Private Dispute Desk, providing neutral extrajudicial mediation for demurrage claims, storage delays, or operational disagreements. This substantially reduces the chances of costly court litigation and protects long-term commercial relationships between partners.
